01 — ORIGINAL ARTWORK

Before a single garment is considered, the artwork is created. Drawn, painted, composed — built from the visual language of African identity, heritage and contemporary expression.

02 — ARTISTIC PROCESS

The creative process at CLIPMAVEN ART is deliberate and unhurried.

Each artwork goes through multiple stages of development — composition, colour, texture, detail — before it is considered ready.

We work with the understanding that the marks of the artist matter. The imperfections of the hand. The decisions made in the moment. The layers that build up over time.

These are not flaws to be corrected. They are part of the story.

The process is as important as the finished piece. And that process is always visible in the final work — whether it ends up on a canvas, a shoe, a jacket or a shirt.

03 — TRANSFORMATION

This is where the artwork becomes wearable.

The transformation from artwork to wearable piece, It requires understanding how the artwork will move. How it will interact with the material. How it will be experienced by someone wearing it rather than viewing it from a distance.

A composition that works on a flat canvas may need to be reimagined for a three-dimensional form.

The colours may need to respond differently to fabric than to paper.
